It is the largest Bon dance in the prefecture taking place over three days, bathing the street in front of JR Bicchu-Takahashi Station in color. There are two types of dances. One is the light style which is said to have been started by townsfolk in 1649 called “Jiodori,” while the other is the refined style called “Shikumi dori,” which is said to have been started by warriors in 1744 (Enkyo gannen).
