ishidori matsuri - Mie

It is known as the loudest festival in Japan. The simultaneous sounds of gongs and taiko drums from 30 beautifully-decorated floats overwhelms viewers.
It was registered as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in December this year.

Event Details At this year's Ishidori Festival, the religious ceremony at the shrine will be held at a reduced scale, while the pulling of the festival float and other events will not be held.
