ishidori matsuri - Mie

It is known as the loudest festival in Japan. The simultaneous sounds of gongs and taiko drums from 30 beautifully-decorated floats overwhelms viewers.
It was registered as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in December this year.

Event Dates Every year on the first Sunday of August and the day before.
Event Details August 2: Test performance from approx. 18:00
August 3: Main performance - Kita Shijo Parade from 13:00, Hanaguruma Float Parade from 18:30
