Jantokoi Uozu Festival - Toyama

This festival hosts the Tatemon Festival, serikomi choroku folk music, fireworks on the ocean, and other events. The Tatemon Festival, in which seven “taimon” lanterns modeled to simulate the hull and sail of a boat are pulled around the city, have been designated an important intangible cultural property of Japan and registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016.
