Ichijo Festival - Kochi

To commemorate the deeds of the Tosa Ichijo family who laid the foundations of “Nakamura, the Little Kyoto of Tosa,” the festival is celebrated in grand fashion together with the autumn festival of Ichijo Shrine built in 1862, where for three days, events such as a sacred fire lantern procession, children’s parade, and kagura music and dance are held across the city. It is a festival that fills the streets with tens of thousands of visitors.
