The first day of the festival on May 2nd starts with a festival at the tomb of Emperor Antoku and a commemoration of the Heike clan, followed by a Senteisai memorial for Emperor Antoku and the Heike clan, a sea parade of the Genpei Funagassen naval battle, and a procession of brave warriors on May 3rd. May 4th features the Ganryujima Island Festival with a re-enactment of the duel between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro, plus a picnic concert and other events. (tentative)
