The Procession of 1,000 Samurai sees more than 1,200 people, most carrying mikoshi, parading along the shrine path and back.
The sight of the Shinji-yabusame in which valiant archers shoot arrows from their horses is breathtaking. A similar festival takes place in autumn (16-17 October).
