Hitachinokuni Soushagu Annual Festival (Ishioka Festival) - Ibaraki

One of the three great Kanto festivals, Ishioka Festival is the annual grand festival of the Hitachinokuni Soshagu Shrine, which is designated an Intangible Folk Cultural Property.
Along with the elegant mikoshi portable shrines, over 40 gorgeous dashi floats and brave horojishi lions are paraded through the city during the festival, which attracts more than 500,000 visitors every year.

Event Dates Every year on September 15 and for three days with Respect for the Aged Day as the last days.
