Sanno Festival - Tokyo

The mikoshi brought into Edo Castle during the Tokugawa period have been viewed and worshiped on a grand scale by successive shogun since the days of the third shogun of the Tokugawa clan, Iemitsu, in what is known as the Tenka Festival.
