Yosakoi Festival - Kochi

The Yosakoi Festival is a Tosa carnival held every year on August 9 to 12 at nine competition venues and eight dance performance venues around Kochi City, with approximately 200 teams and roughly 19,000 dancers showing off their moves with wooden naruko clappers in hand, and elaborately decorated Jikatasha trucks.
The dancers perform to a wide variety of music, from traditional pieces to rock band performances. The festival never lets the crowd get bored, with dance styles ranging from samba to rock and to classical.
