The central shopping area in Oita City is decorated with elaborate and colorful Tanabata decorations, delighting passersby. The main stage is the “open space for 480,000 people” and on the first day, dynamically illuminated floats called “Funai Pacchin” in the shape of brave warriors or rising dragons are paraded magnificently through the streets. On the second day, the venue becomes a pedestrian paradise, where visitors can wander wherever they wish and enjoy a variety of events. On the final day, the “Oita Godo News Cooling Fireworks Series Oita Godo News Fireworks Display” is held.
