It is the largest summer festival of Yamaga, which has been passed down from ancient times. The two-day festival has a variety of events such as “dedication lanterns,” a fireworks display, and taimatsu torch procession. Among them is the centerpiece “1,000 Lantern Dance” in which women with lanterns on their heads dance gracefully as they sing Yoheho bushi. The overlapping ring of lights takes the viewer into a fantasy world.
