Jizo Exorcism Festival - Yamanashi

The jizo of Entakuji Temple, enshrined in the jizodo designated as a national important cultural property, of the two bodies worshipped, the stone Jizo Bosatsu opened to the public for 24 hours from noon on February 13th to noon on February 14th is said to lend its ear to the wishes of pious men and women and help them escape misfortune, drawing throngs of worshipers from across the country to the temple. The jizo who listens to their wishes is a rare stone Buddha covered in lacquered wood and gold foil that has been designated as a cultural property by the prefecture.
