On of Japan’s Big Three festivals featuring floats. The floats being drawn around to the sound of the majestic yatai-bayashi (a traditional taiko drum piece) and the fireworks display that lights up the night sky are tremendously powerful.
It was registered as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in December this year.
