The festival’s highlight is the large crowd of dancers dancing in groups to the powerful rhythm of taiko drums and flutes.
The parade for the Sansa Odori takes place in the center of Morioka, and is led by the Miss Sansa Odori Dancers and the Sansa Taiko Group, who give a dazzling performance. They are then followed by various different groups. This massive parade of majestic and splendid dances is a must-see.
