Nada Fighting Festival - Hyogo

This autumn festival held at Matsubara Hachiman Shrine in Shirahama-cho, Himeji is popularly known as the Nada Fighting Festival.
As the name implies, it is a peculiar festival in Japan where mikoshi shrines bump and jostle. The festival is held on October 14th and 15th every year and captivates onlookers with three mikoshi “fighting” and a the yatai-neri parade of seven yatai floats that fiercely make their way through the streets.
